Daren is 38 years of age and lives in Lincolnshire. He is married with two beautiful little girls who both feature heavily in the portraits section of the gallery on this website! He took up photography as a hobby in 2002 prior to a back-packing trip to Costa-Rica where he realised photography as a passion. He initially shot film, then took to shooting transparencies (slide) in locations such as Kenya, Tanzania, the Falkland Islands and various parts of Europe. The website was created in 2008 to showcase the images he had taken following a switch to digital in 2007. Daren offers a wedding photography service and caters for other types of events providing a friendly, discreet yet professional service as he goes. For family photos or modelling images (for example) a mobile studio is available. Finally darenthorpephotography.co.uk also provides photo digital improvement and restoration services.
